2. Once approved, you will receive an email inviting you to log in and access your unique affiliate link.
3. Share your affiliate link with your audience and encourage them to use the link to support your local business. We will process and ship all orders directly to your customers.
4. All proceeds of each sale using your unique link will be paid directly back to you.
5. We send you a payment (via bank transfer) for the proceeds from all sales attributed to your specific link.
6. When things return to "normal," you can fully transition back to our standard wholesale partnership by placing orders directly through our Wholesale platform.
Q: Will this program redirect my customer to Well Told instead of to my own shop/site?
A: Yes. Our goal would be to give your loyal customers a way to support your store without you having to be burdened by the fulfillment process. Our team will process the order and ship it directly to your customers and YOU will receive the proceeds of the sale. We want these customers to return to your store for future purchases as this keeps our collective ecosystem healthy. This affiliate is a temporary option to assist at a time of need…we would encourage you to position it as such so that your audience knows there is a way for them to invest in YOU without causing undue stress or burden.
Q: What will my customer be able to order?
A: They will be able to order any products available on our retail site www.welltolddesign.com. All products will be at a retail pricepoint and no minimums will be applied. This may give your regulars an opportunity to order products that you don’t normally carry in the store or send a gift to a friend or loved one. All sales, regardless of product will be credited back to you!
Q: Why would you do this?
A: We do this because we firmly believe- right down to our core values as a company- that we all succeed when we work together. This short-term solution allows us to leverage our current capabilities to assist our friends/partners who are facing stiff headwinds. We know that true partnerships are here to stay….if we can assist in getting through this difficult time, we know the future will be bright for all of us.
Q: How will my customers know that this is available and will support my business?
A: This is where you come in! We encourage you to share your unique link with your audience in any way you are comfortable. You can place the link on your e-commerce website, share with your email distribution list or social media audience or even just with your friends and family who wish to lend a hand. Again, all proceeds come directly back to you so be sure to include that in your messaging so that your audience knows that they can help!
Q: Is there a limit to what my audience can buy under this program?
A: Nope, the more they purchase, the more comes directly back to you.
Q: How long will this program last?
A: We’re not sure. Our goal is to bridge the gap for our partners until they can reopen their stores and see traffic start to normalize. Once most of the country is open for business, it makes sense for everyone to get customers back into routine of buying directly at your storefront. We have always been in support of directing people through your doors, and we will continue to drive that consumer behavior once this craziness passes.
Q: I’m not sure if this is for me. Can I communicate with someone on your team about this?

Q: When you say “All proceeds”- what exactly does that mean?
A: We will return to you the all profits from each sale less our operating and shipping costs, which amounts to 40% of each order total.
Q: I’m used to purchasing products at 50% off retail and you are giving me 40% back…please explain.
A: Our standard wholesale model allows for our store owners to purchase products at minimum quantities to be resold in their stores. Under this model, order fulfillment takes place at the point of sale (in store). This model allows us to pass along 50% savings to the store owner so that they can resell and make a healthy profit. Under the "Stand With Local" model, we will take care of all the fulfillment (processing, manufacturing, packaging & shipping) and pass along to you the profits that remain after a direct-to-consumer order is fulfilled.
Q: Do I need to preorder anything or pay to be a part of this program?
A: Absolutely not! This program is intended to help at a time when we are constantly hearing that financial resources are constrained. Our hope is that your loyal audience will choose to spend their dollars in a way that will support their favorite community shops.
Q: How will I know how much was spent with my affiliate code?
A: You will have access to the your own affiliate account dashboard so that you can monitor sales in real-time. At the end of every payment period, we will do a thorough analysis of all sales captured within this program and return the requisite commission back to YOU!
Q: What if my customer wishes to order products that I don’t currently carry in my store?
A: Great! Your audience will be able to order anything they desire directly from our store. This should be very advantageous for you as it expands the range of offerings and allows your customers to not only order products that resonate at the local community level but also gives them the ability to send products as gifts that might not have enough “broad” appeal to warrant you selling them in your store. Additionally, this process could serve as a tool for shop owners to see what their audience is interested in so that they can consider offering a broader range of products in the store once things reopen.
Q: What if one of my customers visits your site directly instead of through our unique link?
A: Unfortunately, the only way we can attribute sales back to your store is through your unique link. We encourage you to be proactive in getting this information out to your audience so that they understand the value of standing with local during this time of need.
Q: If one of my customers accidentally orders direct from you and not with our code, can we let you know about this and get credited after the fact.
A: Unfortunately, we cannot make any retroactive adjustments in this regard.
Q: Can I still place orders through my account on Well Told's wholesale website?
A: Of course, you can continue to use our standard wholesale shop during this time.
